Cult Of Occult was born in the lugubrious basements of Lugdunum in France in the late 2000's. The 4-headed band is worshiping vintage guitar amp walls and beers of dubious quality. It is in this atmosphere of alcohol vapors and sound volumes pushed far beyond reasonable that Cult Of Occult has created its own sound. A mixture of sludge, doom, black metal pushed to the extreme and which was accompanied over time of incursions in the limbo of drone / noise world. This sound experiments has resulted in the release of 4 albums since 2011. The eponymous "Cult Of Occult" then, "Hic Est Domus Diaboli" in 2013 that laid the foundations of the band's idea of his sound: heavy, low and powerful in album as in live. Then, "Five Degrees Of Insanity" in 2015 (at Deadlight Records) led the band to get noticed by Roadburn festival crew in 2016 where they gave a performance that left traces in the audience's memory. And finally, in 2018, was released "ANTI LIFE" (Music Fear Satan label), the most extreme album of Cult Of Occult, on which spread all the darkness of their music.
