Swedish post-rock quintet Final Days Society are a DIY post-, indierock band based in Växjö and have been playing together since 2006. Having made a name for themselves in the golden age of post-rock with countless positive reviews, being on tours and sharing stages with acts like God is an astronaut, Junius, EF, Leech and having their music featured in several Swedish films shown on national television, through searing layers of reverbed guitars, ambient soundscapes inspired by their Swedish indierock -pop roots and distinct use of vocals, Final days society has set themselves apart from their contemporaries, offering a different conceptualization of the post-rock genre. 2020 mark the 14th year of the band’s existence and an upcoming release of their 4th studio album ”Firestarter” Even though the lineup has changed over the years, an essential core of the bands initial incarnation still remain to this day; an idea - a mission - of creating emotional music, with rich dynamics - ranging from ecstatic bliss to numbing despair - and with soft yet piercing vocal melodies, able to comfort the most woeful of hearts.
