Biography
Etching themselves into the alternative scene, Juniper has created a truly loyal and energetic fan base that is rooted in a love for timelessness. The group blends elements of the modern day singer-songwriter into the context of a band atmosphere, grounding their identity in live performance, original music, connecting with fans through their online presence, and a years-long friendship that glues it all together. With eclectic sonics and influences, Juniper’s sound is ever-changing and adapting to the world around them. Their sound is identifiable. The group sticks out with catchy melodies, unique production, and tangibly honest songwriting. Juniper’s collective-centered beginning culminated into the release of their debut album in 2021, Distance Keeps Me Distant, which spoke on the changing nature of relationships as a result of the pandemic. Throughout the pandemic, the band evolved, now lead by frontman Scott Johnson and the pillars that are Alejandro Marin and David Sessions. Juniper takes on the new music industry with goals to play sold out venues around the world, while still maintaining their foundational soul that formed in basements, small clubs, and DIY spaces. From the band: hello everybody, we’re glad you made it here. If you’re overthinking it, send the text. -juniper
