Biography
Leslie Clio is back with her 4th studio album "Brave New Woman", released via her own label House Of Clio with an all female core team. Through a self-liberating artistic process, Leslie has created some of the most fascinating songs of her career without compromising on her artistic freedom. In this respect, “Brave New Woman” is Leslie Clio's proud message to the world to remain true to yourself and to "stick to your guns"! In 2013 Leslie Clio released her first record “Gladys”, a retro soul pop record which got her signed to Universal Music and charted at #11 in the German album charts. The singles "I Couldn't Care Less" and “Told You So” became instant airplay hits and earned her a nomination for an "ECHO" Award in the category "Best Female Artist National". Following the success of her first album, Clio released her second record “Eureka” (Universal Music) in spring 2015, which charted at #13. The first single “My Heart Ain’t That Broken” became another top 50 airplay song and has exceeded 22 million streams on Spotify so far. Her third, critically high acclaimed record “Purple” was released in May 2017. In 2020 Leslie Clio went independent by founding her own label House Of Clio with an all female core team next to releasing her other musical projects that in 2021 included translating, producing and singing Disney‘s Campaign Song for Germany. In 2022 she was a finalist at The Masked Singer Germany.
