Brief Habits is a union of four friends living in Brisbane who spend most of their time writing, playing and talking about music. Following their debut self-titled LP Brief Habits (2017) with a powerful record that shows the band where they need to be, Teleport boldly leans into the deeply honest, autobiographical lyrics of Dan Rogan, while drawing in equal measure from pop elements and stellar song writing craft. Recorded by the band in various rentals during the quiet moments between the responsibilities and pressures of your 30's. Brief Habits slow-burn intensity sometimes overflowing into huge moments that can easily sneak by the listener with their understated approach. But even as the energy surges, they cast an optimistic glow, serving up ambience and attack with equal measure. Lyrically, Teleport tries to sort through the wreckage with bright introspection, exploring all the delicate twists, turns rifts and revelations in between. The feeling of vulnerability lies at the core of Brief Habits music, which is part punk, part pop and all catharsis.
