Biography
Icelandic songwriter/singer Hafdís Huld started her music career at the age of 15 with Gus Gus, after several world tours and two albums Hafdís moved on to work with FC Kahuna co-writing and singing the chill-out classic Hayling. In 2006 her first solo album ‘Dirty Paper Cup’ won Best Pop Album at the Icelandic Music Awards. Vögguvísur (lullabies) the most streamed album in Icelandic history, was the no.1 album in 2020, 20021 and has reached double platinum. Collaborations include Tricky (Cross To Bear), Deltron 3000 (The News), Boo Hewerdine, Nik Kershaw, Pascal Gabriel and Ed Harcourt. Hafdís and long time music collaborator/husband Alisdair Wright live in the countryside outside of Reykjavík with their two young children and are currently working on album number 8 whilst looking forward to touring again.
