Biography
Austin, Alex & Conor Motel Carnation bring sleazy, off-kilter electronic indie from the grubby club floors of Newcastle Upon-Tyne In the 2 years the trio have been together they have received airplay on BBC 6 Music & BBC Tees as well as airplay and a live session for BBC Introducing In The North East. The band were selected as one of 10 artists to be BBCintroducing In The NorthEast’s Tips For 2021 The bands first 3 hometown shows all saw sell out status; the first in a matter of hours. Motel then took their show cross country for their debut London appearance at the Amersham Arms, seeing them gain a legion of fans in the capitol. Motel Carnation have previously shared stages with the likes of Dylan Cartlidge, Broken Hands and FEVA to name a few, the trio were also booked to support Oscar Lang as part of Abbie Mccarthy’s Good Karma Club pre-pandemic Unwilling to slow down whilst in Isolation, the band worked on a self-produced cover of “Live Forever" by Oasis, the track was met with incredible reception and acclaim from radio and press, being chosen as “Track Of The Week” by Spotlight UK. With a slew of un-announced gigs booked towards the end of the year and new releases imminent, Motel are determined to make up for lost ground and continue to expand within the public consciousness. With the ongoing support of the BBC’s Tips for 2021 program, and other press outlets such as Darkus naming them Ones To Watch, they look to be turning heads already.
