Biography
Kyle Lionhart is an Australian singer-songwriter who has honed his craft and built an extremely loyal fanbase by busking on the streets and beaches of his home town Byron Bay. Musically, Kyle’s sound has raised comparisons to the likes of Ben Harper & Matt Corby. His honest and poetic songwriting explores relationships of love, death, friendships and the sometimes harsh realities of them. In February 2015, Kyle self-released his debut EP Keep In Mind. His music and reputation soon spread around the world thanks to the enthusiastic reviews of impressed tourists. It wasn’t long before record labels noticed the young busker, who drew crowds in the hundreds on the main street of Byron Bay. After a slew of successful EPs, a debut album, a sold-out Australian tour, a European tour with Xavier Rudd and a sold-out debut London headline show, Kyle’s career took off from 2016-2020. The first new music since 2020, Kyle releases his single SHELTER. On the live front, Lionhart has an extensive run of dates on the Shelter single tour commencing in Brisbane on June 2 through to June 24. Lionhart will perform select tracks from his highly anticipated second album, set for release later this year. Kyle says of the song, “Shelter is an intensely personal song that I wrote as a clear reminder to never let myself lose everything that’s important to me again. To be able to tour again, after such a difficult couple of years, is truly inspiring and I cannot wait to play live, in person, again!”
