What comes to mind when you see the band names Pepper, Iration, The Movement and Stick Figure? A good guess is Beaches, Sunshine, Bikinis and Festivals. Well there is a similar reggae vibe coming straight out of Colorado! Weege is a reggae artist with roots all over Colorado and Northern California. Weege’s brand of reggae-ish music drives home the essence of soul, love and hope akin to artists like UB40, Michael Franti and Bob Marley. What is a Weege? Weege is the brainchild of Luigi Casaretto and the artist's name is also his childhood nickname. He partnered with Mark LeBlanc Jr in 2017 and they have been adding talented musicians from all across the state of Colorado. In addition to their ingrained network of loyal fans, they pride on making the listener experience something lyrically and rhythmically enticing. By cultivating real relationships with fans and digging into the core of the human element, Weege finds the connection with everyday people to be effortless and therapeutic. This mission started back in 2002 when he founded a pioneering reggae rock band called 880 South, a top billed performer in the inaugural 2010 California Roots Festival held in Monterey, California. A new single, “Get Your Head Straight” will be released in 2022 which was co-produced by co-writers Mark LeBlanc Jr, Luigi Casaretto and Blaine Dillinger.
