Biography
Vemedy is a singer and songwriter based in West London specialising in dancehall-infused R&B. After deciding to go solo in 2017 and inspired by the events of the Grenfell Fire Tragedy, Vemedy released his debut single “Somebody” engineered by Karmah Cruz. The music video for "Somebody” was directed by Kirx and premiered on GRM Daily. During the summer of 2018, he released two further singles "Take Me Higher" and "Sprite". His third single "Sprite" features Bermudian singer and songwriter Nase. Towards the end of 2018, Vemedy recorded "Move Me", a release under RnBass Music engineered and produced in Los Angeles by J Maine (Omarion - "BDY on Me") and award-winning producer FlipTunesMusic. Vemedy then released one single entitled Sun Kissed Skin and featured on Jay Kage’s single Homesick and Jaysiah’s debut EP ‘The Awakening’ during 2019. Throughout 2020, Vemedy released three singles How Slow, Nine To Five and Calling (ft. Nase Noir) taken from his debut mixtape Seven, which reached #35 in the UK Official Album Downloads Chart. The project contains 7 songs and was released on July 7th 2020. Now in 2022, Vemedy is ready to make his return with a series of new singles being recorded and ready for release.
