Biography
With their debut, the band from the Ruhr area catapulted directly into the first league of the European skatepunk scene. Instead of profiless poppunk and nonsense lyrics, there are politically charged hardcore edges like Good Riddance, the positive refusal attitude of early Pennywise and multi-throated singalongs à la Millencolin. Over all hovers an awareness of the roots from the 70s, which extends to a short but concise reggae interjection. Angry Youth Elite have always proven that this mixture also works well live. Whether in the club, at festivals or together with the heroes of the youth (among others No Fun At All, Pulley) - every time grinning faces and sweaty band shirts remain. After the release of the charity single "Say Anything" with US punkers The Bombpops, the band returns in 2023, having grown to a quartet and with their second album. "All Riot" will be released in June 2023 and presents the logical further development of the band in eleven rousing punk rock songs. Accurate and reduced to the essentials, the powerful production of Michael Czernicki (among others Rogers, Alarmsignal) is the only luxury that Angry Youth Elite allow themselves in just under 25 minutes.
