Midnight Cinema is an incarnation of the gold-selling, VH1 YOU OUGHTA KNOW band, Thriving Ivory. Singer Clayton Stroope aka "City Wolf", guitarist Drew Cribley and drummer Paul Niedermier formed the band and forged a new sound in the wake of the success of Thriving Ivory. Their 2013 self-titlted EP was released on Wind-Up Records. Their followup full-length album Lightning In A Bottle was self-released in 2014.
