Biography
One individual, Odirile K W Halefose better known as Ecco the Beast. Hails from South Africa, grew up in the City of Pretoria, originating from Attridgeville. Born 12 September 1993. A surprisingly talented young men, with cunning individual skill, is what sets Ecco the Beast apart from the rest. Swagger being the key word when laying out a concept for a song. As a artist Ecco brings immaculate legerdemain to a track. Sick word play is the order of the day when The Beast graces the mic when it comes to putting tracks together. For The Beast, it’s that humour and finesse when putting together a verse that draws the audience to his endearing profound voice, culminating that bond with his unique style of catch phrases in between lines. With the current changes in the rap game when it comes to lyrical content, Ecco managed to sway the lethality in his lyrics to smart concise hard hitting punch lines. Standing alone or with his team, competition catches wreck when faced with this young man. Gathering influences from great musicians like Lil Wayne, Drake, Donell Jones, Craig David,2 Pac, Biggy Smallz, just to mention a few, “ Ecco the Beast” brings an impeccable mixture of taste to the table. A touch of reality is traceable in their lyrics as he gathers most of his wisdom from his everyday life, ambitions and dreams. The vision is “to become the power house of youth influence in South Africa one day, and ultimately the world” as Ecco puts it.
