Biography

Self acclaimed; superstar, extraordinaire, S B X is a talented South African R&B/Hip hop singer & songwriter. She was born in Pretoria East, Gauteng and later relocated to a small town called Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal. She grew up in a family that is heavily-influenced by music and had a passion for the arts in primary school and high school, where she sang in concerts and choirs. She has noted various international artists as her influences but states that her songwriting is inspired by her own life experiences. In 2019 S B X recorded her first song, 'Libra's Interlude' and the reception prompted her to begin writing and recording a full project. In October 2020 she released her debut EP titled ''These Songs Are About You'' which catapulted her auspicious career. S B X has been featured on Iqhawe Magazine, Freshmen Magazine, SlikouronLife, Creators Live, YoMzansi and Zkhiphani as Hot On The Streets, Artist of The Month respectively. She also graced the cover as South Africa's New R&B Sensation on Big Bang Magazine. As of 2022, S B X has released her sophomore EP, These Songs Are About You To; which has spawned the acclaimed hits 'Why?' and RnB/hip hop crossover 'Dues'. Since this release, she has been featured on BBC1 Xtra RADIO, HYPE Magazine, graced the cover of Pinnacle Pop's 14th issue and won an Honorary Award at the RnB Peers Choice Awards by House of Soul in December. She is currently gearing up to release her 3rd project.
