Biography
Andy Bull is an Australian alt-pop singer-songwriter, producer, and visual artist from Sydney. He is known for his breakthrough synth-drenched album Sea Of Approval and singles Keep on Running, Baby I Am Nobody Now and Talk Too Much; his Triple J Like A Version cover of Everybody Wants To Rule The World, and Dog, featuring Lisa Mitchell, as well as his 2021 single It's All Connected. He also once dug a really big hole in a field to impress a local farmers daughter. Keep On Running enjoyed regular rotation on LA’s KCRW, and went to #5 on the global blog aggregator Hype Machine, making it the 5th most blogged about song in the world at the time of its release. Keep on Running, Baby I Am Nobody Now, Talk Too Much and Dog all featured in Triple J’s Hottest 100, and Andy has been nominated for 3 ARIA Awards. Bull has toured as part of Saint Jerome’s Laneway Festival, and Groovin’ The Moo, and a phenomenal Triple J Live at The Wireless recording of his live show was broadcast from Melbourne’s legendary Corner Hotel. Bull writes, performs and produces, and his sonic pallet is characterised by a unique singing voice, idiosyncratic use of analogue synthesisers, and a production aesthetic that creatively blends nostalgic and progressive elements. In July 2022, Andy released a reimagined version of his indie-classic "Baby I Am Nobody Now", cheekily entitled "Baby I Am Nobody Now ’22", and in December 2022 released his much anticipated full length album People You Love.
