Biography

During lockdown times Belgian guitarplayer Tom Vanstiphout (Bryan Ferry, Milow) found himself alone with his collection of guitars and a string of instrumental pieces he started writing a year before. The original idea for these pieces was a collaboration with Petrit Ceku, a classical guitar virtuoso from Kosovo. Tom and Petrit met on a tour in 2018 and the two of them quickly became friends and fans of each others unique skills. The idea for Tom and Petrit was to sit down in a studio and record these songs. The covid 19 virus messed up the plan so Tom decided to spend his time in his studio at home recording these pieces as a ‘Duet For One’. The idea for another album together with Petrit remains. Tom proudly presents Duet For One. The Solo Sessions. Tom Vanstiphout has been one of Belgiums most respected musicians for a long time. He plays live with Belgian singer songwriter Milow since 2008 and with english icon Bryan Ferry since 2018. He plays guitar on countless albums for artists such as Zaz, Milow, Adamo, Bart Peeters.
