Biography

Haval Ibrahim, born at September 10th 1980 in Mosul, is a Kurdish musician, singer and composer. His music career began at a young age when he participated in several international and local festivals while composing his own songs. The release of his first album "zi bizevra" in 2004 marked the beginning of his professional career. While the first album went almost unnoticed, the second album "Xozî", which followed in 2006, gained fame among a large audience. With the third album "Min Çî Kirye" in 2009, he had his breakthrough and made a name for himself as a kurdish musican; the album was one of the most successful albums of the year in the Kurdish region. In 2011, the album "4" broke the previous record and was the best-selling album of the year according to the Kurdish press. In 2015, he was voted the best Kurdish singer by Ishik College and the university's cultural centre. In the following years, he often collaborated successfully with other artists, including the songs "Brati" and "Kifa Min Ji Tere Te". This was followed in 2020 by the singles "Tu Ya Canî" and "Leyla", which became his most successful singles to date. The series of successes continued with the "Kurdish Mashup", which was created in collaboration with KarzanHisham, and the song "Pencera Jivana", released in 2021, once again proving the artist's versatility in different musical styles.
