Biography

宮崎県生まれ、横浜育ち。2006年11月シングル「シンクロ」でデビュー。 “鋼と硝子で出来た声“と称される歌声と叙情性豊かなソングライティングで注目を集める一方、多彩なライブ活動を展開。 2014年、 映画『STAND BY ME ドラえもん』主題歌「ひまわりの約束」が大ヒット、その後も数々の映画、CM、TV番組のテーマ曲を担当。デビュー10周年には横浜スタジアムでワンマンライブを開催。初のオールタイム・ベストアルバム「All Time Best ハタモトヒロ」は自身初のアルバムウィークリーチャート1位を獲得、以降もロングセールスが続いている。SoftBank music project テレビCM「卒業」篇CMソング『仰げば青空』や、映画『ステップ』主題歌「在る」を収録した4年ぶりとなる最新アルバム「コペルニクス」を2019年12月にリリース。 2020年11⽉よりスタートしたＮＨＫ連続テレビ⼩説『おちょやん』の主題歌に新曲「泣き笑いのエピソード」が起用された。2021年11月には「Hata Motohiro 15th Anniversary LIVE」を横浜アリーナ、大阪城ホールで開催。12月には日本武道館で「HATA MOTOHIRO 15th Anniversary LIVE “Philharmonic Night”」を開催。2022年4月13日には、UNITED ARROWS green label relaxingコーディネーション・ソングに起用された、「Trick me」をリリース。7月6日にリリースされた最新曲「サイダー」は7月8日公開「映画ざんねんないきもの事典」主題歌に起用されている。 Hata Motohiro made his debut with a single “Synchro” on October,2006. Attracting attention to his voice is called “The voice is steel and glass” and lyrical his songwriting, on the other hand, he does various live activities. In 2014, the theme song of the movie “STAND BY ME DORAEMON”, “HIMAWARI NO YAKUSOKU (Promise of sunflower)” become a smash hit, since then he handles theme songs of movies, commercials, TV shows. In November 2021, "Hata Motohiro 15th Anniversary LIVE" was held at Yokohama Arena and Osaka-jo Hall, followed by "Hata Motohiro 15th Anniversary LIVE "Philharmonic Night"" at Nippon Budokan in December. On April 13, 2022, he released "Trick me". The newest song "Cider" released on July 6.
