Biography

Magic Circuit is a future-pop, electronic dance music project created by Eli. With inspiration from artists like CHVRCHES, Porter Robinson, and Wave Racer, the music of Magic Circuit leans heavily into electronic sounds both modern and retro. Originally a producer of chiptune music, Eli is the sole producer and songwriter of Magic Circuit, but there is still an emphasis on collaboration and vocal features across the board. Magic Circuit is both an audio and visual project, with aesthetics pulled from anime and manga, as well as PS2 era video games. With Please Stay Connected, the scope has expanded to four featured vocalists, three of whom are prominent members of the VTuber community. Running themes throughout the album include intimacy and relationships with others, amidst feelings of isolation and separation. The album was written over the course of four years, two of which were spent in a new city and without a familiar social circle to rely on outside of the internet. With any luck, the music of Magic Circuit will help people know that they aren't alone, and that sometimes all it takes to reach others is a small gesture, to let them know that you're still here. It's a judgement free zone for crying in the club too.
