    Biography

    Jon Neufeld grew up in Winnipeg, Canada. He spent 15 years in the band Starfield, which he and his brother, Tim, formed in 1999. They released 4 critically acclaimed and award winning albums with EMI/Sparrow Records in Nashville, TN. Their 5th and latest release was in 2012, called “The Kingdom”. Since then Jon has released 2 solo EPs: “Burn Bright” in 2014 and his most recent release, “We Are Free” in October of 2017. “We Are Free” was nominated for “Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year” at the 2018 Juno Awards in Canada. His song “Come Alive” from his Album “Burn Bright” won the “Song of the Year” award in 2015 at the Covenant Awards in Canada. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon with his wife and 3 boys. Here, he works as the Worship Leader at a local church, continues to write music, and enjoys pouring into the next generation of creatives.
