Gingerbee is an internet band composed of: Melody Sohani (Toronto) Dani Giguere (SC) Gustavo Nome (CA/Brazil) Jordan de Graaf (Japan) <3 "There's a sort of honeyed sweetness to the sound that gingerbee so viscerally captures. In the way Your Arms Are My Cocoon or Birds fear Death captured the scrawled bedroom journal style home recording, so too has gingerbee made their own quiet and mighty statement. Self-appointed as beemo pioneers, the earnest tenderness found in their work, is both beautiful and haunting, as crisp and lovely melodies are suspended across genre bending synths, sugarplum chiptunes, punctuated with pained shrieks reminiscent of Flowers Taped to Pens, that slice deep into you. The conveyance of innocence in it's purest and most readily bruisable form is all found in gingerbee, like watching a first crush dissolve in the rain or seeing childhood friendships fade into the fall air, they will hang around your mind for the many days to come.
