Biography
Silly Walks Discotheque is a soundsystem, producer team and label, from Hamburg, Germany, founded in 1991. Besides from playing as a soundsystem all over Europe; Silly Walks are among the most popular Reggae producers from outside of Jamaica. Their catalogue features albums like the Various Artists producer album "Silly Walks Movement - Songs Of Melody" (2002/ Four Music), “Silly Walks Movement meets Patrice EP“ (2003/ Four Music), and the producer albums “Silly Walks Discotheque - Storms of Life“ from 2012 and “Silly Walks Discotheque - Smile Jamaica“ from 2016. The label’s greatest hits are Chronixx „Smile Jamaica“ (#1 on the Jamaican charts), Busy Signal x R C {Righteous Child} „Dreams of Brighter Days“ (#1 in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Kenya), Romain Virgo „Soul Provider“ (#1 in Trinidad & Tobago and Grenada) and Sara Lugo feat. Protoje "Really Like You". Currently Silly Walks are approaching their next producer album release that is supposed to build a bridge between Jamaican Dancehall Reggae and Afrobeats from Nigeria and the UK. "Forward" will feature 15 different vocalists and will be released in July 2022!
