Biography

Andres Reinell is a bi-racial singer songwriter of Peruvian and British descent. His handle “La Verdad” which means the truth in Spanish, is what he offers in his writing, his vocals, and his music. His vocals have a distinct r&b influence that he delivers over an eclectic array of beats from reggae, to reggaeton, to r&b, and bachata. Andres began playing piano at a young age, and later gravitated towards vocals inspired by 90s r&b and hip hop. He began singing in local salsa bands. His latest project “El Reflejo” (the reflection), is a collection of cover songs translated into Spanish and remixed to Bachata rhythms. El Reflejo is produced by DJKemo & Vago (Vanguards Music) and features mostly live instrumentation. “A lot of people would ask me to sing Bachata, but I’ve always been more of an r&b singer… Then one day I heard some bachata remixes in the club and I thought they were fire, so I wanted to put together a project where I could blend my style of vocals with bachata and just have fun with it.
