Biography
Acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas crafts textured pop songs with lyrics about heartbreak & change, coupled with incredibly catchy hooks. After her debut EP in 2009, Hannah released four full-length albums to acclaim in outlets at home and abroad including The Guardian, The New York Times, Pitchfork and NPR Music. She has become a household name in her native Canada; headlining on festival bills; garnering multiple nominations, including three for the Polaris Music Prize & five JUNO nominations ranging from ‘Best New Artist’ to ‘Songwriter of the Year’. She has supported high profile acts such as Sara Bareilles,The National, City and Colour, Boy and Bear and more. Her music has been featured in over 50 film/TV placements including an end credit usage in HBO’s Girls. 2019 culminated with her on tour with The National on their I Am Easy To Find cycle for dates in Germany, the USA, Canada, Switzerland & the UK, performing opening slots of her own music & joining the band as part of an all-female chorus alongside English indie darling Kate Stables (aka This is the Kit). Expect to hear more from the artist who is set to release her fifth self-produced album summer of 2023 and, as The Telegraph wrote “evokes the idiosyncratic indie of Feist, and packs the raw, emotive lyrical punch of Regina Spektor”.
