Biography

Felipe Gost is a songwriter born in Chile, who in his style mixes the Pop / Rock with funk sounds and the ballads. Its beginnings go back from very child, when he formed his first band at 13 years old, with a group of friends, with whom he starts to create his first songs. At 17, and with a more formal project and with new members, he begins to tour different pub in Santiago and regions with a mixed repertoire, with covers and own compositions. At age 20, he takes his first studies of vocal technics with Ricardo Alvarez, director of the School of Vocal Arts Myriam Hernandez. Over time the project is formalized creating a band, adopting the name ”Cainabel” adding 2 new musicians, in order to project his music and record their compositions. Of This project, born the ”Siempre” EP (2006) and the ”Rastros” EP (2008). The latter included 3 songs, all composed by Felipe. In this recording it is where he met the musician and producer Gustavo Bosch, because his son Robert had joined to the band as a drummer. Gustavo participated in the production of single ”Rastros”, with excellent results. After a while the band decides to separate, driven by differences in musical direction. Since that time, Felipe decides to start his own career like a solist, working on his compositions and simultaneously studying singing at the Institute Projazz. In early 2013 take contact with Gustavo Bosch for the musical production of this new project. The single ”Morena” is the first fruit of this work, , released at the beginning of 2014, highlighted by accompanied by a video clip recorded in Havana , Cuba, under the direction of Felipe Sepulveda (Los Felipes). After this release and its strong diffusion, Roberto Bosch (Saiko, Alvaro Scaramelli, Denisse Malebrán) takes charge of music production, in order to move forward with the work of the first LP of Felipe. In early 2015 a second single entitled ”Simplemente tú” is released, a romantic song, which included an interesting video clip, again directed by Felipe Sepulveda, which shows the real daily life of different couples. The year 2016 Felipe Gost release his first full length album titled ”Conexion” under the musical production of Roberto Bosch in co-production with Felipe. This album brings together the 3 singles previously released, plus 7 more songs that complete the album, with a total of 10 tracks, which follow the line of romantic pop. This album was mixed by Javier Bassino (Andres de León, Américo, Roque, among others), and mastered at Capitol Studios, L.A., USA, by Engineer Ron McMaster (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luis Miguel, among others). Next May 19 Felipe presents the last single called ”From the head to my feet”, as a way to close the chapter of his album ”Conexión”, being the song in charge of the transition for the presentation and launch of his new Material that will release at the end of June. Felipe is currently on a promotional tour by regions, sounding very strong in the main radios, communicating the new projects and reinforcing what was achieved with his album ”Conexión”
