Biography

“Some will never see that there cannot be light without dark”, sings Australian songwriter Phillip Bracken on his latest single LES MOUSTIQUES. A reworked version of an old song he was never quite satisfied with, the lyrics explore the notion of alter egos. Delving deeper into the songs themes during the making of the accompanying film clip, the Australian suggests that like many songs the idea arrived out of nowhere. “I was lying in bed one summer evening in Sydney when a mosquito started to hover around my ears”. And thus the opening line “There’s a buzzing in my head I could do without” was born.  Encouraged to record the piano version by audiences who have heard the song live, Bracken says the single is a stand alone track but a separate live acoustic album is due out in the coming months.
