Biography

English native, born and raised in Munich, Nick Yume found his passion in music at an early age as a place to escape reality and everyday life. „Yume“, the Japanese word for dream, reflects Nick’s music blurring the line between calculable modern reality and imaginative creation. A world to lose oneself in when in need of a safe haven to ponder the deeper things in life. Influenced by a particularly broad mix of music – think of 90s Rap followed by 50s classics such as Elvis or Little Richard – Nick’s interest in Indie and acoustic artists sparked him to teach himself how to write songs and play guitar. He has since found himself at home in his own mélange of Soul-infused Future-Indie-Pop. Having taken a multiple year hiatus, Nick is launching a new era of his music in 2021. Following his latest release “Head Up”, he will be putting out new tracks on a monthly basis for the remainder of 2021, accompanied by videos as well as acoustic sessions to fill the current missing opportunity of playing live.
