Biography
New Piano Solo ☞ Ischia • David Grumel is a Annecy based producer, composer & pianist who creates minimalist and cinematic music. After my piece Delta (+890k streams), my new piano solo Ischia is dedicated to Giacoma. "Closing his piano solo series, "Ischia" is the high point of the upcoming album. With more than 1,5 million streams, all the pieces will be reunited in an album in september. A inspiration dear to the artist, the water (he lives on the shores of Lake Annecy) is life. This dream of Ischia, a small island in Naples bay in Italy - a country dear to the artist - immerses us in a « farniente » at the water's edge. The composition develops in 112 seconds an ode to the chill « farniente ». Like Yann Tiersen, David has tirelessly delivered for more than 30 years an eclectic, broad and timeless body of work." All these tracks hit +4,9M streams. New LP "Isola" out in September '23. French composer and multi instrumentalist David Grumel is a master of captivation. Each composition blends and blurs the lines between artifice and reality through it's playful use of pop, and embellished organic cinematic elements. With elegance, and purposeful restraint David utilizes textural synths, strings, piano and orchestral percussion to create sweeping emotionally complex and layered music perfect for picture. Thank you so much for stopping by to learn a little about myself and my music.
