Biography
Têtes de Bois is an amazing Italian band, born in 1992. Theirs is a story of roads and interchanges, unconvemtional locations, European capitals, suburbs, concerts on their old truck, on the escalators, in the underground, in abandoned factories, performances with bicycles, events in trams, railway stations, activism, but also festivals, clubs, community centers, theaters, “official” stages, tv, sountracks. Tetes de bois’ s music includes rock, folk and poetry, and it grows through a vision of the present, always relevant and never predictable. EXTRA, their last album, is a tribute to one of the poets they most love, Leo Ferre, French poet and songwriter, and it was awarded with the prestigious “Targa Tenco” in 2015. They do not chase a commercial success. "We will be one percent and who cares," they write on the last album notes, "and we do not like to be courted, weighed, dimensioned." The singer Andrea Satta, indeed, considers challenging this time, subverted by the Internet “democracy”, in which musical industry and popstars are complaining all the time. "For us, because we lived on the edge of the blessed music industry world, this is not a problem," he says. "We've always played a lot, sold discs at our shows; we are the specialists now that walking on the roadside is one obligated sport." www.tetesdebois.it - [email protected] Andrea Satta: voice Carlo Amato: bass, guitars and computer Angelo Pelini: keyboards and piano Luca De Carlo: trumpet
