Biography
Zornik are a rock band from Belgium who debuted to chart-topping success in Flanders in 2002. Founded in 1999 in Zonhoven, Belgium, by frontman Koen Buyse, the band made its commercial debut in 2001 with the single "Love Affair." A year later their full-length album debut, The Place Where You Will Find Us, topped the Flemish albums chart. Second album One-Armed Bandit (2004) was also a chart-topper, with hitsingles "Scared Of Yourself", "Goodbye" and Believe in me", while subsequent albums Alien Sweetheart (2005) and Crosses (2007) reached number three. The latter two albums include the respective hit singles "I Feel Alright" and "The Backseat" and "Black Hope Shot Down." A best-of collection, 4.000.000 Minutes of Zornik (2008), was the band's next full-length release. It was also a big hit, reaching the Top Ten and spawning the new hit single "4 Million Minutes." In 2010 they release the album "Satisfaction Kills Desire which included the hitsingle 'The Enemy'. After a more acoustic inspired album 'Less Is More' in 2012 and a more experimental album 'Blinded By The Diamonds" in 2015 the band took a 6 year sabatical. In 2021 they celebrated their 20 year anniversary in a sold out Ancienne Belgique, Brussels. The live album of that concert is released in January 2022. A new studio album is coming in 2022/2023...
