Biography
Formed in 2009, Timeshares dove headfirst into a sprawling east coast punk rock scene, drawing as much influence from the worlds of alt-country and power-pop as they did from their Hot Water Music records. Their first full-length, 2011’s Bearable, is a gritty collection of basement anthems that carried them to stages across the United States, Canada, and Europe. In 2015 they’d follow up with Already Dead. Released on SideOneDummy Records, Already Dead expanded on the band’s knack for powerful choruses and melody without compromising any of the volume. Guitarist Maxwell Stern joined the group in 2017 and accompanied them for a series of EPs that dug even deeper into influences like the Drive-By Truckers, Superchunk, and Wilco. The group will release their third full-length record, helmed by venerated producer/guitarist Joe Reinhart of Hop Along and mixed by Andy Clarke, this fall on Los Angeles-based label Wiretap Records.
