AQUARIA is a Symphonic Power Metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After recording some demos, Aquaria released their first album LUXAETERNA in 2005, whose concept is the creation of the world. The CD was recorded at Creative Sound Studios, in São Paulo, by Philip Colodetti, who worked with Angra, Shaman, Kamelot, Krisiun, Heavenly, Rhapsody, etc. Guitar recording sessions supervised by Rafael Bittencourt, (Angra). The band signs with MARQUEE RECORDS. They have some of the most successful bands, such as Megadeth, Edguy, Dimmu Borgir, Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica and others. Thus, with this support, the album was mixed and mastered by SACHA PAETH at Gate Studios, in Wolfsburg, Germany. The cover was designed by Roberto Campus, graphic artist at Marvel Comics. Eric Philippe, most requested name in metal world, was chosen for logo design. The internal illustration was made by Antonio Cesar and photos by Washington Possato. After that, Aquaria starts the pre-production of SHAMBALA. which was released worldwide in the second half of 2007 and was mixed by renowned producer TOMMY HANSEN (Helloween, Pretty Maids, Jorn Lande, TNT), at Jailhouse Studio, Denmark. Bruno Agra signs the production for the album, whose story takes place in the Amazon rainforest, where a renegade from Portugal fights for his survival and sanity. In 2009, Aquaria quit their activities. They returned in 2017 with a Christmas single called XMASONG and finishing their third album, to be released in 2020.
