Biography
Irish-born indie singer-songwriter Clare Cunningham debuted at the 'GRAND OLE OPRY’ in March 2023. Sharing the bill with her childhood idol, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. Clare also performed with Steve Earle, singing his infamous ‘Galway Girl’. She recently sang alongside Vince Gill at this year's VOA's yearly gala. ‘The Josie Music Awards’ crowned her 'ARTIST OF THE YEAR' in 2022; ‘VOCALIST OF THE YEAR’ in 2021 and ‘FOLK/AMERICANA ARTIST OF THE YEAR' in 2020. Clare had notable success before moving stateside in 2018 with all female Swedish quintet Thundermother. She released two albums (Road Fever & Rock 'N' Roll Disaster) and was signed to Warner Music Sweden. Clare uses her platform to bring awareness to mental health. Her EP MERCY has done just that. Previous to this, she released Dear Ireland paying homage to her culture. Clare came back to faith in 2020 and her new album HELPING HAND is an album for her Lord Saviour. What a few industry folks have said : “Clare has such a tremendous voice. She makes me want to play because she sings with passion and feeling” Steve Cropper ‘’You sounded amazing. Hang on in there’’ Vince Gill “Girl you can sing. What a powerful voice” Lzzy Hale of Halestorm “Powerful voice” Phil Campbell of Motörhead ''You sounded amazing, well done'' Lauren Alaina ''Pleasure playing with you, great job” Steve Earle ''Amazing. Keep going, girl'' Jeannie Seely “You have an incredible voice. Beautiful” Jerry Foster
