Biography
With several important titles in his songs, the singer/songwriter/instrumentalist from Curitiba, Ricardo Maranhão, won the 6th place in the Rock charts on radio stations in the United States, with the song “Pull the Trigger”, in addition to being featured in Rolling Stone magazine and on MTV. He won the title of “Best Pop/Funk Song” for the song “We Could Be True” at the Los Angeles Akademia Music Awards and won first place alongside his longtime friend and world-renowned harmonica artist, Indiara Sfair, at the Festival "A Chance Music Festival" by Sony Music label. The artist is an ex-member of the band “Milk’n Blues” and became known in the local scene. In 2017, he decided to acquire new musical knowledge in the USA, in a process of immersion in Blues Music, he won the attention from the public, specially american, whom likes Blues and Rock Music. Ricardo Maranhão, who has shared the stage with Indiara Sfair at the “Sherbrooke Folk & Blues Festival” in Quebec, Canada in 2018, and Washboard Band and Tony Caster for the “Curitiba Blues Festival” in Curitiba, Brazil in 2020; will bring an álbum with 10 songs with lots of Rock, Blues, Folk and Pop, with lyrics expressing his most deepest and troubled feelings.
