Biography
Since 2012 Cass. has released albums of varying styles, from the rather organic and loopbased ambientpieces on Loops & Farewell Sketches and the Red Atlantic EP on Throne of Blood in 2017, influenced by 80’s pop sonics, to the more balearic and percussive recordings on The Sound Of Glades together with Wolf Müller in 2016. On his 2019 solo album Postclub Prism on Into The Light Records, Cass. explores his affinity to calm and atmospheric ambient music at the treshold to the sound of club music that - an important note in this context - did always play an immense role in the personal and artistic development of Cass.. In late 2019 Cass. collaborated with long time friend Marvin Horsch aka Gianni Brezzo on the LP 'Masala Kiss', released by the lovely Basso of Growing Bin Records. For Patrick Ryder (Piccadilly Records) 'Masala Kiss' sounds like "emotional ambient, soft focus synthesis and pastoral programming and connects the ideas from early and contemporary works to a hopeless romantic record". In 2021 Cass. announces another solo album called 'Ambient Music For A Young Girl', to be released on Growing Bin Records in 2021. In addition to that, Cass.' and his long time partner Niklas Wandt are about to release their recording 'Esculturas Rupestres' on the Salon Des Amateurs affiliated label candomblé in the same year. The record delivers an enchanting collage of spoken word, ancient drumming, synth ambi(val)ence and free improvisation.
