Biography
Via Fiori is a pop/rock band founded and based in Los Angeles, formed in 2019 by Mayday Parade drummer and vocalist Jake Bundrick. In between touring and recording for Mayday Parade, Jake Bundrick found time to write some songs that initially were just for his own ears. Via Fiori quickly became the creative outlet that he needed - allowing him to write, record and produce anything that came to mind. Bundrick credits Dave Grohl for his inspiration for taking the leap from drumming and singing in Nirvana to being a frontman in his band, Foo Fighters. Bundrick learned a lot about music production and song arrangement from some of the best producers, including Howard Benson, David Bendeth, John Feldmann, Mike Sapone, Lee Dyess, Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount. Through this mentorship over the years, Bundrick found inspiration to produce and record songs for other artists - and now for himself with this project Via Fiori. The idea for the project started after Bundrick worked with the Hopeless Records band, Oh Weatherly, where Bundrick co-wrote and co-produced their debut album, “Lips Like Oxygen”. “I learned a lot after finishing that record. My biggest take from it all was that you don’t need an expensive studio to make good-sounding records anymore. Anyone can make a record in their garage with a little bit of money and knowledge.” All the music was tracked in Bundrick’s home garage studio except for the drums which were tracked with friend/producer, Jon Lundin.
