Biography

Was formed by Richard Anthony Hewson in 1977 and their first hit was the chart smash ‘The Crunch’. This went top ten in UK and Europe. The RAH Band went on to have jazz funk club hits such as ‘Falcon’ and ‘Slide’. Throughout the eighties, the RAH Band never missed the British Dance Music Charts producing some five albums and numerous extra ’12 inch’ singles, most notably the international smash ‘’Clouds Across The Moon’ in 1985 which went to No.6 in the UK and No.1 in Australia. Richard Hewson, the creator/writer/producer of the RAH Band had an interesting start in the music business. His first professional job was to arrange ‘Those Were The Days’ by Mary Hopkins – which became an International No.1. This success naturally led to more work at Apple; firstly arranging James Taylor’s album and then the Beatles themselves, notably the classic ‘Long and Winding Road’.
