Biography

Didrik Thulin has been singing and playing instruments his whole life, but he eventually ended up searching conformity with a career as a shipbroker. In 2012, Didrik decided against following this career-path, and instead pursuing his dream of becoming a full-time musician. He soon scored his first hit in an unusual way when childhood friend and former neighbor Kygo remixed his song “Dancer”. Soon after, he tagged along with two other friends, and created WDSTCK. With blends of electro pop, new wave, disco and funk they managed to punch through the fierce starting grounds of Norway’s musical capital Bergen. They soon managed to reach the masses with their track “Flowers”, and this brought them to some of Norway’s biggest festivals and even provided them an article in The Guardian. In the end of 2015, the band decided to spread their wings and put WDSTCK on hiatus. Didrik decided to go solo and play with more electronic sounds. He then teamed up with Sonny Alven, and they soon came up with the track “Fading”. The track got massive support on Norwegian radio leading to gigs at some of Norway’s biggest festivals. Later on Didrik released his first self-produced track “Teenage Hype”. For 2017, Didrik decided to go back to the roots by approaching a more indie pop sound, and released the track “Leave Me Be” on his own imprint Paperclip. Again, receiving support on national radio.
