Biography

Nicolas Morant is a curious and versatile musician, having learnt the flute as a child and trained in classical music. He explores new artistic territory by combining jazz and electronic music within several different bands and projects. Under the Nikitch alias, he’s been supported by artists such as Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier, Lefto and 20Syl, working with many worldwide labels like Soulection, Ninja Tune, Brownswood Recordings and most recently Tru Thoughts. Pushing his musicality beyond genres or countries, he regularly works with different artists, including singer Andreya Triana, the bands Tambour Battant and Submotion Orchestra, as well as DJ Cam and Grems. His recent collaboration with Brussels-based producer Kuna Maze pushes their musical and creative development even further.
