This Jakarta based singer has shown his musical interest from an early age, he has been singing in various choirs and had traveled across Asian and American countries in a cultural exchange program since he was just ten years old. The musical journey he took also lead him to join a group called Pasto and release their debut album in 2007 with the help of Glenn Fredly as the producer. But in 2008 Bayu Risa decided to quit the group and focusing more on the development of his own unique talents. Came the year 2010 when Bayu Risa first met Joseph Saryuf, who would be the producer on his debut album Rise and Start Again. This beautiful combination resulting in a eclectic mix of musical genres that combines all the best elements in popular music. BayuRisa now joins RSTEVEN MUSIC. With Ronald Steven as Producer, BayuRisa commemorates his wedding by launching the single Hadirmu (translated to Your Presence), a duet with beloved wife Monita Tahalea. Prior to this, BayuRisa’s partnership with RSTEVEN MUSIC was put on hold as he was assigned to work on the Ceremonies for ASIAN Games, the biggest sporting event in Asia. After waiting for almost two years, the partnership first produced Kau Bisa (translated to You Can) at the end of 2019. The song brings together sweet electronic pop, lo-fi and funk, creating simple yet memorable tunes. In the near future, BayuRisa is launching an EP, produced by none other than Ronald Steven under RSTEVEN MUSIC.
