Taking the Lo-fi feature from Dream Pop and Retro Pop, South Bad Boy has an innocent guitar tone and a warm sound. Their love poem-like lyrics are inspired by the lead vocalist Benjamin Hsu’s personal experience, telling the stories about love sickness and feeling lost. The sophomore EP That’s All I Can Hope For was released two years after the band’s debut work. They invited Easy Shen to be a music producer. Not only the songs’ structure became tightened, but the arrangement techniques were upgraded. Furthermore, the chemistry from the newly attended members Tommy Lian and Shiqi Lai was the critical influence making the band evolve. Tommy Lian on guitar drew a more vivid image of a young boy being new to love, still naughty but trying to act romantic. The Bassist Shiqi Lai brought in psychedelic grooves, while the drum beats danced a spinning waltz in light-hearted steps. Sweet flavor in their former works was carried by the synthesizer surrounding the melodies with a dreamy aura. Soft and Intimate vocals performed by Benjamin Hsu. The music features and personas among different band members were like reflections and mirrors, accompanying on each other, harmonizing one after another sweet love songs. 
 In their music, it is always about LOVE. They always want to capture the moment in the endless time with you when love blooms. “You Know? That’s All I Can Hope For.” All in all, that is the only thing they want to say to you.
