Loomin is best described as an intimate and warm slice of Folk Pop music with an Indie edge. With his laid-back attitude, gentle vocals and authentic spirit he creates his very own feel-good sound. Growing up in a little town on the outskirts of Haugesund in Norway, Birger Heimdahl was always known as the humorous one amongst his friends. Seeking out a more adventurous path he decided to follow his passion for singing which originated in lullabies sung to him by his mother at a young age. While teaching himself to play the guitar through Youtube tutorials, Birger developed a keen sense for his voice and musical understanding. Meeting his idol Kurt Nilsen, the winner of ‘Idol Norway’ encouraged him to pursue his singing career further while pushing his own musical boundaries. After creating his own home studio he began posting a series of his cover versions on Youtube and managed to appeal to a greater audience, reaching over 300k views on one video alone, while making the news on one of the biggest news stations in Brazil. Hearing that Kurt Nilsen was one of the judges on ‘Idol Norway’, Birger chose to participate and successfully moved on to the next round in Norway’s capital Oslo. Following his drop-out and reflecting the influence of childhood favourites Robbie Williams and John Farnham, he created his new artist project ‘Loomin’. His radiant debut single ‘Best Day’ has successfully won over local radio stations and is just a preview of the music that is yet to come.
