Biography
Tyler Gilmore, aka BlankFor.ms is a Brooklyn-based artist who makes richly textured, emotive music using his rare collection of degraded tapes, analog synthesisers and an old spinet piano. He has released two EPs (Bitbird), Works for Tape and Piano (Puremagnetik), In Part (Mystery Circles) and has also created remixes for The Cinematic Orchestra, Arthur Moon, and Para One. His upcoming album featuring MacArthur fellow pianist Jason Moran and innovative drummer Marcus Gilmore will release on Red Hook Records.
