Biography
Rachael Lampa started on to the scene in 2000 as an instant success in the Christian/Gospel market at the age of 14 with #1 hits such as “Live For You”, “Blessed” and “Lift Me Up”. She toured extensively with artists such as Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Boyz To Men, Destiny’s Child, Michael W. Smith, and appeared on shows such as “The Tonight Show” and “The View”. In total she recorded 5 studio albums, a remix album, and a greatest hits album. In 2008, Rachael decided to take a hiatus. During this time, she joined with her 3 siblings to create a non-profit in Nashville called People Loving Nashville which focuses on building community with people in Nashville experiencing homelessness. Along the way, she joined Jordin Sparks as a BGV and simultaneously released an ep called “Human”. She got married in 2010 and appeared with “The Collective” on NBC’s “The Sing Off” and released another full length album called “All We Need”. In 2014, she began working as a backing vocalist for Hozier and toured through 2016 and appeared on Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Fallon, Ellen , Jimmy Kimmel, and a collaboration with Annie Lennox on the Grammys. In 2016, she welcomed her son, Jackson McCarthy. In 2017, she released a cover of the hymn, "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus". She recorded her first project in 10 years this Spring and is releasing her first single called “Side of My Heart” on August 9, 2019.
