Before anything else Slowly, take a deep breath And slowly exhale Breathe Breathe slowly Breathe Close your eyes if possible And breathe Notice the presence of God as you breathe Because He gave* breath to you He blew life to you, o creature of dust Let me ask you two questions One; Who is God to you? Who do you worship? Who do you long for? Whose beauty do you behold? To whom do you place your trust every morning when You wake up and every night when you lay your head? Who is God to you? Is He your Maker? Is He your King? Is He a gracious God? Is He your Father? Who is God to you? Another equally *important question Who are you? Are you satisfied with yourself? Do you cringe at your mistakes? Do you see yourself falling short everyday? Do you feel that you're missing something in life? Do you often fear *the uncertainty of the future? Do you find yourself guilty, of sins Ashamed for all your iniquities Crushed by the weight of sorrow and helplessness? Good. Let me tell you a story From the beginning to the end From genesis to revelation From alpha to omega Prophecy to fulfillment From failure to redemption From Slavery to exodus From chaos to order From corruption to being born again A story about the lamb Whom God appointed To spill every drop of His blood To give His Life To fulfill a promise To carry the weight of sin To die and live again To return To rule and to judge And to reign forever and ever Amen! Jesus to whom and through whom all things are created Jesus the son of man, encountered by the men of old in mystery Jesus the good teacher Who taught the spirit of the law to the people enslaved by the law Jesus the healer and the provider Of all miracles to those who seek him Jesus the lamb of God, gentle and meek Wrongly accused and silently walked Into the valley of death in the cross Jesus the risen Christ, generously sharing the Holy Spirit Jesus who will return soon I ask you one last time Who is God to you? Who are you?
