Biography

IYKZ has been releasing music independently since 2012 having studying books on the music business at University during a bachelors degree in Maths and Finance. His first mixtape ‘P2P’ with his music videos lead to the creator Jamal Edwards MBE later featuring it IYKZ' Warm Up Session in the company’s advert for Google Chrome. That same year saw IYKZ work closely with close friend and Afropop artist Maleek Berry on his next 3 projects with collaborations from artists such as Scorcher, Jermaine Riley, U.K rap legends S.A.S, and Afrobeats superstar Davido. After 5 years under alias Ikes, the rebranded IYKZ revisits his Hackney routes on 2017 mixtape “Kings Crescent on Queens Drive” containing singles such as ‘KILO’ and ‘They Know (Wan Mo)’ ft Maleek Berry. 2018 saw IYKZ release project ‘Closure’ which proved to be his most focused and honest material to date. Based around the break-up with ex-girlfriend, IYKZ used 7 songs as therapy to deal with the break up. Another Maleek Berry collaboration came about once more in their 2019 Summer anthem ‘Show Me Mercy’ produced by Legendury Beatz (Wizkid, NSG, Skepta, Drake). Since then IYKZ has been on a run of singles as he promises fans to showcase his consistency as we adapt to the new digital age.
