Ok Otter is a band from State College, PA. It started as an at-home recording project of Mike Doyle, but has turned into an honest to goodness rock band featuring Rob Bonsell on drums, Joe Tombasco on the keys and Dave Joyce on guitar and vocals. They have a new song being released on every fourth Friday of the month in 2023. Keep your ears peeled. "Why the name Ok Otter? Well, I'm a big fan of Dr Dog, Fleet Foxes and Modest Mouse, so I copied that formula... animal + alliteration. Otters are cool animals and apparently abundant in Pennsylvania, where we are from. I've never seen one in the wild, but I have seen minks. They are basically tiny otters. The Frankenstein mask used on the Dad Rock albums is from Halloween when I was 5 years old. I just always liked that mask and my parents hung onto it. When we eventually do Dad Rock 3 the mask will make its return! Also, thanks so much to all the Richie fans.
