Biography

British keys player/ soul singer and songwriter/arranger, Natalie Duncan returns with new album Free, a heady mix of neo-soul, R&B and jazz Lead single "Sirens” marks the first release on producer and DJ Goldie's brand new label Fallen Tree 1Hundred. Beginning life as a collection of songs written in 2018, Natalie completed writing and arranging the album with some recording sessions in Goldie's home studio in Thailand and some sessions in the UK. Players on the album: Aaron Janick (Trumpet) Alan Mian (Bass) @Richard Spaven. Free explores a second phase of ‘coming of age’, fearlessly leaving behind a life that could be seen as the easy option and pursuing instead a way that fulfils your soul, regardless of the struggles that may ensue. First single Sirens was written and composed while recovering from vocal cord surgery — leaving Natalie only able to whistle the melody. "It was very frustrating! But it was euphoric the first time I was able to sing the chorus line 'Can you make me fly' - it felt like my voice was finally flying again."
