Biography
Huron John is a 21-year-old independent artist from Chicago with influences that are as diverse as water is wet. You can’t help but dive into his music head first and emerge giddy from his neon-colored reality. Entirely producing, writing, mixing, and mastering all of his work, John provides a new layer of definition to the “do-it-yourself” indie standard. When it comes to his day-tripper sound, he delivers glitch juxtaposed with groove. Through his music, self-directed visuals, cover-art, merchandise, and other mediums, Huron John is creating a universe of beautiful digital solace for a new generation. Also releasing a variety of experimental genres through his side project entitled Wavehouse, Huron John defies all standards of an independent act within the current indie landscape. Recently creating his own label and self-published magazine of the same title, Always Outside Creative Arts, John moves further toward his goal of introducing an inclusive place of artistic mentorship and collaboration. In his own words, he is dead-set on delivering his listeners with “the pleasures of yesterday, but with the perspective of tomorrow.” His “Apocalypse Wow / Cartoon Therapy” Double album is out now. http://huronjohn.co -Precious Kato, Ones To Watch
