Biography
Janeret grew up in Grenoble but has called Paris home since 2010. It was around this time that he began “taking production seriously,” he explains. His earliest experiments had started several years earlier. He marked his relocation to the French capital with a slew of releases on various imprints, but it wasn’t until 2015’s Heat EP that Janeret began to feel comfortable with his production methods and style. Through his discoveries, Janeret crafts a versatile style with productions of deep-house and house records with a solid groove as well as productions of jungle music or drum'n'bass. His relentless and astonishing production work makes him one of the most prolific and respected artists of the genre. He became a key figure of the Yoyaku sub-labels (Joule, Aku, YoY…) and released several acclaimed EPs on various other labels (Berg Audio, Up The Stuss, Politics Of Dancing, Rutilance Recording, to name a few). The French producer decided to launch his own label "Joule Imprint". Eager to seek out new talents with a similar artistic sensibility to his own, and with the strength of his know-how, the launch of this new label appeared to be an obvious choice for the artist. Janeret has never stopped diversifying his artistic skills, not only as a DJ and producer but also as a label manager. His experience and his mastery make him one of the essential figures of the French underground scene.
